Thomas Alguire, MD, is a physician board certified in internal medicine and hospice and palliative care. Dr. Alguire earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. He completed his internal medicine residency at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Dr. Alguire’s clinical interests include hospice and palliative care.

Karoline Arsenault PA-C, earned her physician assistant degree at the University of Dayton in Ohio and started her practice there in the Emergency Room before moving to Michigan to pursue her career in Family Medicine. She enjoys getting to know her patients of all ages and educating them on living a healthy lifestyle. In her downtime Karoline likes to embark on new adventures with her family and stay active.

Gregory A. Bernath, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Bernath earned his medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. He completed his internal medicine residency and his cardiovascular medicine fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Bernath’s clinical interests include providing comprehensive general cardiology care.

Robert Bischoff, DO, is a board-certified physician specializing in gastroenterology. Dr. Bischoff earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He completed his internal medicine residency and his gastroenterology fellowship at Beaumont Farmington Hills Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. His clinical interests include general gastroenterology and inflammatory bowel disease.

Alyssa Blackmer, Au.D., CCC-A is a board-certified audiologist. Alyssa earned her undergraduate degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, and completed her doctorate degree at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

Dave Blanchard, OTL is an occupational therapist. He is specialized in hand therapy and on track to receive his board certification. He was a student at our Hand Therapy Clinic, at our Spectrum Health Lake Drive campus and is a great addition to the Health Pointe Rehab Team!

Jennifer Boven, NP, is a board certified nurse practitioner. Jennifer earned her bachelor of science in nursing degree from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI. She earned her master of science in nursing degree from Michigan State University in Lansing, MI. Jen is a member of the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners.

Matthew Boyd, MD is excited to be joining the Health Pointe team and to bring his talents and expertise to the Grand Haven area. Dr. Boyd attended the University of Michigan – Flint and graduated with a BS in Chemistry. He then attended Wayne State University School of Medicine and graduated with MD. He completed his Family Medicine residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI from 2008 to 2009. Dr. Boyd worked at Metro Health in Allendale for the past nine years doing a combination of Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He previously held team physician roles with Grand Valley State University and the Grand Rapids Griffins. He is an avid golfer and cyclist.

Nate Carlson, PT, 3D Maps, Cert. MDT, is a physical therapist with interest in orthopedics, sports rehab, and spine health. He is a graduate of Central Michigan University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013.

Molly Crissman, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician. Dr. Crissman earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing. She completed her family medicine residency at University of South Carolina-Palmetto Health Family Medicine Residency Program in Columbia. Dr. Crissman’s clinical interests include patients of all ages who need chronic disease management, and encouraging preventive health, focusing on healthy lifestyle, exercise and fitness.

Andrew A. Cureton, MD, — is a board certified Family Medicine physician. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Hillsdale College before graduating from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids. He completed his residency training in South Bend, IN in Family Medicine and holds an additional certificate in Global Health. Having practiced near Washington, DC for the last four years, Dr. Cureton is excited to return home to Michigan and join Health Pointe.
He enjoys caring for entire families, and his professional interests include complex disease management, preventative medicine, and medical education.

Mary Margaret Dagen, MD, ABOM, CCMS is a board-certified family medicine physician. Dr. Dagen earned her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Cupecoy, St. Maarten. She completed her family medicine residency at Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, Michigan. Dr. Dagen’s clinical interests include sports medicine and obesity medicine.

Julia Davey, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician. Dr. Davey earned her medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. She completed her pediatrics residency at University of Wisconsin Children’s Hospital in Madison.

River David, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant who was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. River earned a Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health Sciences from Grand Valley State University and a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from Rush University in Chicago. River is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and providing them with resources to live a healthy lifestyle. In her downtime, she enjoys traveling, trying new food and spending time by the lake.

Krista Hansen DeLong, MMS, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant. Krista earned her bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College in South Bend, Indiana, and her master’s degree from Midwestern University in Downer’s Grove, Illinois. Krista is a member of the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants.

Tarin DeVoursney (Coulas), MD, is a board-certified pediatrician. Dr. DeVoursney earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing. She completed her pediatrics residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine/Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Dr. DeVoursney’s clinical interests include childhood development, newborn and infant care, eczema and preventive health maintenance.

James Foote, MD, FACS, is a board certified bariatric surgeon and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Foote earned his medial degree for Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He completed his surgery residency and his surgical critical care fellowship through Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners in affiliation with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Dr. Foote’s clinical interests include bariatric surgeries and intragasric balloon placement laparoscopic ventral and inguinal hernia repair, cholecystectomy, anti-reflux surgery and upper endoscopy.

Lindsay Fox, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Fox earned her medical degree at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, and completed her pediatrics residency at Seattle Children’s Hospital in Washington. Dr. Fox’s clinical interests include infectious diseases and global health.

William Frauenheim, MD, MPH, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Frauenheim earned his medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor and earned his master’s degree in public health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York, New York. He completed his internal medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, and completed his cardiovascular disease fellowship at Rush University in Chicago.
Dr. Frauenheim’s clinical interests include prevention of heart disease and management of cholesterol disorders.

Peter Furey, MD, is a board certified internal medicine physician. He earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his residence at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliate Hospitals. Dr. Furey’s clinical interests include adult medicine, anxiety, heart disease, hypertension, lipids and prevention medicine.

Alana Garcia, PT, NCS, CBIS is a physical therapist who will be working with the adult population at Health Pointe. She graduate from Arcadia University with a doctorate in physical therapy, is a board certified clinical specialist in neurology and is a certified brain injury specialist.

Sean Goodwin, MD, is a board-certified critical care and general surgeon. Dr. Goodwin earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing. He completed his general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship through Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners in affiliation with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Dr. Goodwin’s clinical interests include advanced laparoscopic surgery including hernia repair, gallbladder, and colon surgery, anti-reflux surgery, breast care, including breast cancer surgery, thyroid surgery, endoscopy, treatment of venous insufficiency and carpal tunnel surgery.

Sara Grossenbacher, OTL is a pediatric occupational therapist. She attended Midwestern University and graduated in 2016. Special interests include feeding therapy.

Joe Hanisko, PT, DPT, Cert FDN, is a physical therapist and graduate of Grand Valley State University’s doctoral program for physical therapy. Joe is certified in, and practices, functional dry needling (FDN). He has special interest in orthopedics and sports performance with great experience treating and training adult and adolescent competitive athletes. Joe also has experience working with patients who are dealing with chronic pain, headaches, TMJ disorders, amongst several other diagnoses.

Rebecca Hoedema, MD, is a board-certified colorectal and general surgeon. Dr. Hoedema earned her medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. She completed her residency in general surgery at Michigan State University, Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan and completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Ferguson Clinic, Michigan State University, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Ellen Jansyn, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Jansyn earned her medical degree from Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University in Maywood, Illinois, and completed her internal medicine residency at Northwestern University in Chicago. She completed her cardiovascular disease fellowship at Tufts University in Boston, and completed her invasive cardiology & cardiac pacing fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Jansyn’s clinical interests include providing comprehensive general cardiology care.

Christina Johnston, DO — Dr. Johnston is a neurologist who received her Doctor of Osteopathy from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her neurological residency training at Botsford General Hospital. Dr. Johnston says she remembers wanting to be a doctor when she was about 12-13 years old as she grew up in a family of nurses.

Karen Kerridge, MSN, CPNP-PC, is a certified nurse practitioner. Karen earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. She earned her master’s degree in nursing from Wayne State University in Detroit. Karen is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Donald G. Kim, MD, FACS, is a board-certified colorectal and general surgeon and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Kim earned his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. He completed his residency in general surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois and his colon and rectal surgery fellowship at University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Dr. Kim’s clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic, da Vinci (robotic) surgery, and transendoscopic microsurgery for colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease with an emphasis on sphincter preservation (avoidance of a colostomy or ileostomy) as well as pelvic floor disorders, such as fecal incontinence (sphincter repair and artificial bowel sphincter) and obstructed defecation (STARR procedure).

Monica Lyons, NP, is a certified nurse practitioner. Monica earned her bachelor’s degree and her master’s degree in nursing from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She completed her doctor of nursing practice at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Monica is a member of the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners.

Jordan Maccoux, PA-C is a certified physician assistant. Jordan earned his bachelor’s degree in health science from Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Michigan. He earned his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant. Jordan is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistant’s. When Jordan is not practicing medicine, he can be found along the lakeshore paddling, hiking, biking or playing volleyball.

Timothy McDonald, MD, is a board-certified Otolaryngologist. Dr. McDonald earned his undergraduate degree from the US Air Force Academy and medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at San Antonio Uniformed Health Services Education Consortium in Texas. Dr. McDonald served in the United States Air Force as a pilot and then as a otolaryngology surgeon before moving to West Michigan with his family. Dr. McDonald offers a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients of all ages. His clinical interests include thyroid and parathyroid surgery, salivary gland disorders, medical and surgical treatment of sinus disease as well as voice disorders.

Jean Nielsen, PT, C/NDT is a physical therapist that specializes in pediatrics. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University and has a Certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment.

Amanda Nies, DO – Dr. Nies is board certified neurologist who received her Doctor of Osteopathy from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed neurological residency training at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital in Warren. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American College of Osteopathic Neurologists and Psychiatrists and the Movement Disorder Society and an instructor in the Department of Neurology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Dr. Nies will deliver the full continuum of advanced neurological care for adults, including consultation, evaluation and treatment.

Hannah O’Brien, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant. Hannah earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Huntington University in Indiana. She earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. Hannah is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants.

Tricia O’Neal, NP, is a certified nurse practitioner. Tricia earned her nursing diploma from Bronson School of Nursing. She earned her master’s degree in nursing from Michigan State University College of Nursing in East Lansing.

Joseph Ortiz, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician. Dr. Ortiz earned his medical degree at De La Salle University College of Medicine in the Philippines. He completed his internal medicine residency through Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners in affiliation with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr Ortiz’ clinical interests include chronic disease management, complex medical issues and preventative health.

Hillary Ottenbaker, NP, — Hillary Ottenbaker is a certified nurse practitioner. Hillary lived in Grand Haven for most of her childhood and graduated from Grand Haven High School before going off to Ferris State University for her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She worked and lived in Grand Rapids as a Cardiovascular Registered Nurse while going to Michigan State University to receive her degree for Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Hillary is married and has three rescue dogs (Doberman, Pitbull and a Corgi/Australian Shepard mix). She enjoys catching up on the various Netflix/Hulu/HBO series with the company of her friends. Her and her husband are also trying the various cuisines that West Michigan has to offer and are always up to try new places. Hillary is very excited to continue serving the West Michigan and Grand Haven area.

Jamie Petroelje, AuD, CCC-A, is a board-certified audiologist. Jamie earned her undergraduate degree from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and completed her doctorate degree at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. Jamie is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

Kelliann Rawlinson, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician. Dr. Rawlinson earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. She completed her family medicine residency at Michigan State University, St. John Providence Health System in Warren. Dr. Rawlison’s clinical interests include preventive medicine, chronic disease management and women’s health.

Carrie Roberson, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biomedical science and her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. Carrie is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants.

Laura Rohrs, NP — Laura Rohrs was born and raised in Grand Haven and is looking forward to caring for patients in her community. Laura has a 20 year history in the medical field with experience in ICU’s, ER’s and most recently as a flight nurse with Aero Med. She is excited to be joining the Cardiology practice. In her downtime, Laura enjoys riding her horses and spending time boating on Lake Michigan.

Nathan Salinas, MD, is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon and otolaryngologist. Dr. Salinas earned his medical degree from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency training at San Antonio Uniformed Health Services Education Consortium in Texas. Dr. Salinas served as a physician in the United States Army Medical Corps for nine years before moving to West Michigan with his family. Dr. Salinas offers a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients of all ages. Along with general otolaryngology care, his clinical interests include thyroid and parathyroid surgery, cosmetic and reconstructive facial plastic surgery, medical and surgical treatment of sinus disease as well as voice disorders. Dr. Salinas is certified in diagnostic neck ultrasound techniques to evaluate neck masses, thyroid nodules and parathyroid disease in patients of all ages.
Combining his expertise in both otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery, Dr. Salinas offers comprehensive treatment to a multitude of facial plastic surgery conditions. Dr. Salinas takes an individualized approach to tailor the treatment plan to each patient’s needs in order to optimize results. His clinical interests include skin cancer surgery, facial nerve paralysis treatment, facial rejuvenation (anti-aging treatment), cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty (nasal surgery), blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), otoplasty (ear deformity correction surgery) and scar revision.

Kyle Snell, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician. Dr. Snell earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. He completed his family medicine residency at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing and his sports medicine fellowship at Michigan State University in East Lansing. Dr. Snell’s clinical interests include sports medicine, preventive medicine and osteopathic manual medicine.

Nino Soave, DO, MBA, is a board-certified gastroenterologist. Dr. Soave earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing and completed his internal medicine residency at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at St. John Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. Dr. Soave’s clinical interests include weight loss, swallowing difficulties, reflux and high quality screening colonoscopy.

Elaina Stewart (Peets), MS, CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist, who graduated from GVSU and has completed her Certificate of Clinical Competence. She has specialized training in the areas of pediatric feeding disorders, dysphagia, brain injury, and various other populations.

Calvin Tebbe, DO, is a board certified Family Medicine physician originally from Ferndale, Michigan. He received his undergraduate training in biomedical science at Western Michigan University and graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2017. He completed family medicine residency at Authority Health in Detroit, MI focusing on community and preventative medicine while also earning a certificate in population health though a joint partnership between the University of Michigan and Authority Health. Dr. Tebbe is passionate about preventative medicine and educating patients about both sickness and wellness.

Kellie Timmer, PA-C, — Kellie Timmer, PA-C: After graduating from Calvin College with honors, Kellie attended Wayne State University’s Physician Assistant Program. Throughout her education, she spent time studying spanish in Spain and Peru. She is a member of both the Michigan and American Academies of Physician Assistants and The Society of PAs in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and empowering them with knowledge of their condition and the treatment options available. Kellie enjoys spending time at Lake Michigan in every season, playing her violin, cycling, skiing, rock climbing, and experimenting with new recipes.

Mary Tran, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant. Mary earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Mary is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Mary’s clinical interests include preventive medicine, health maintenance and chronic care.

Kevin VanAllen, MD, is a an urgent care provider. Board Certification: American Board of Family Medicine. Medical Degree: Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Loma Linda, California. Residency: Hinsdale Hospital, Hinsdale, Illinois.

Kevin Vardon, PA-C , works closely with our Orthopedic Surgeons and Sports Medicine Physicians in providing non-operative and surgical care in treating a variety of conditions within the orthopedic spectrum. He has extensive knowledge in sports medicine, fracture care and injection therapy. Kevin places a high priority on patient education by empowering the patient with knowledge of their condition, treatment options and taking the time to answer any question.
Kevin graduated from Central Michigan University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science and double major in Health Fitness/Preventative Rehabilitation and Psychology. He worked for two years in Cardiology before returning to Central Michigan University to earn his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. He has worked as a certified Physician Assistant since 2006 in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine and has also worked with area high schools in providing sideline and game coverage. Kevin is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is an active member in a variety of professional organizations, staying up to date with the latest advancements in healthcare.

Thomas Visser, MD, is a board-certified critical care and general surgeon. Dr. Visser earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He completed his general surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, and completed his surgical critical care fellowship through Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners in affiliation with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Dr. Visser’s clinical interests include laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, surgery of the gastrointestinal tract, thyroid and parathyroid, hernia surgery, breast disease, including breast cancer, and surgical care of the cancer patient.

Logan Walker, DO, — Logan Walker, DO, is a board-certified internal medicine physician. Dr. Walker earned his medical degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. Following this, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mercy One Medical Center also in Des Moines, Iowa. After training, Dr. Walker worked for two years in outpatient internal medicine for Mercy One in Urbandale, Iowa caring for a wide-diversity of patients and medical conditions alike. His clinical interests are broad as he enjoys working within all facets of internal medicine. Dr. Walker also practices with a strong emphasis on preventative medicine and education as well as enjoys developing personable relationships with all of this patients. He has strong connections to Michigan through his family and his personal interests that include Michigan State Football (his parents are alumni, Go Green!), pickleball, movies, computers and technology, the outdoors and enjoying time within his wife, son and dog.

Katherine Weichhand, RN, MSN, NP, is a certified nurse practitioner. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, and her master’s degree in nursing from Michigan State University in East Lansing. Katherine is a member of the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners and the American Gastroenterological Association.

Dr. Willoughby earned his medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. He completed his urology residency at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Dr. Willoughby’s clinical interests include laparoscopic and robotic assisted surgery, urologic cancer, stone disease and incontinence.

Karen E. Wiseman, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician. Dr. Wiseman earned her medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. Gregory A. Bernath, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. William Frauenheim, MD, MPH, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Frauenheim earned his medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor and earned his master’s degree in public health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York, New York. He completed his internal medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, and completed his cardiovascular disease fellowship at Rush University in Chicago.

Ellen Jansyn, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Laura Rohrs, NP — Laura Rohrs was born and raised in Grand Haven and is looking forward to caring for patients in her community. Laura has a 20 year history in the medical field with experience in ICU’s, ER’s and most recently as a flight nurse with Aero Med. She is excited to be joining the Cardiology practice. Rebecca Hoedema, MD, is a board-certified colorectal and general surgeon. Dr. Hoedema earned her medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Donald G. Kim, MD, FACS, is a board-certified colorectal and general surgeon and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Kim earned his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. He completed his residency in general surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois and his colon and rectal surgery fellowship at University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Dr. Kim’s clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic, da Vinci (robotic) surgery, and transendoscopic microsurgery for colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease with an emphasis on sphincter preservation (avoidance of a colostomy or ileostomy) as well as pelvic floor disorders, such as fecal incontinence (sphincter repair and artificial bowel sphincter) and obstructed defecation (STARR procedure).

Timothy McDonald, MD, is a board-certified Otolaryngologist. Karoline Arsenault PA-C, earned her physician assistant degree at the University of Dayton in Ohio and started her practice there in the Emergency Room before moving to Michigan to pursue her career in Family Medicine. Matthew Boyd, MD is excited to be joining the Health Pointe team and to bring his talents and expertise to the Grand Haven area. Dr. Boyd attended the University of Michigan – Flint and graduated with a BS in Chemistry. He then attended Wayne State University School of Medicine and graduated with MD. He completed his Family Medicine residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI from 2008 to 2009. Dr. Boyd worked at Metro Health in Allendale for the past nine years doing a combination of Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He previously held team physician roles with Grand Valley State University and the Grand Rapids Griffins. He is an avid golfer and cyclist.

Hillary Ottenbaker, NP, — Hillary Ottenbaker is a certified nurse practitioner. Hillary lived in Grand Haven for most of her childhood and graduated from Grand Haven High School before going off to Ferris State University for her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She worked and lived in Grand Rapids as a Cardiovascular Registered Nurse while going to Michigan State University to receive her degree for Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Hillary is married and has three rescue dogs (Doberman, Pitbull and a Corgi/Australian Shepard mix). She enjoys catching up on the various Netflix/Hulu/HBO series with the company of her friends. Her and her husband are also trying the various cuisines that West Michigan has to offer and are always up to try new places. Hillary is very excited to continue serving the West Michigan and Grand Haven area.

Carrie Roberson, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant. Logan Walker, DO, — Logan Walker, DO, is a board-certified internal medicine physician. Dr. Walker earned his medical degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. Following this, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mercy One Medical Center also in Des Moines, Iowa. After training, Dr. Walker worked for two years in outpatient internal medicine for Mercy One in Urbandale, Iowa caring for a wide-diversity of patients and medical conditions alike. His clinical interests are broad as he enjoys working within all facets of internal medicine. Dr. Walker also practices with a strong emphasis on preventative medicine and education as well as enjoys developing personable relationships with all of this patients. He has strong connections to Michigan through his family and his personal interests that include Michigan State Football (his parents are alumni, Go Green!), pickleball, movies, computers and technology, the outdoors and enjoying time within his wife, son and dog.

Christina Johnston, DO — Dr. Johnston is a neurologist who received her Doctor of Osteopathy from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her neurological residency training at Botsford General Hospital. Dr. Johnston says she remembers wanting to be a doctor when she was about 12-13 years old as she grew up in a family of nurses.

Amanda Nies, DO – Dr. Nies is board certified neurologist who received her Doctor of Osteopathy from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed neurological residency training at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital in Warren. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American College of Osteopathic Neurologists and Psychiatrists and the Movement Disorder Society and an instructor in the Department of Neurology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Dr. Nies will deliver the full continuum of advanced neurological care for adults, including consultation, evaluation and treatment.
Orthopedics

Kevin Vardon, PA-C , works closely with our Orthopedic Surgeons and Sports Medicine Physicians in providing non-operative and surgical care in treating a variety of conditions within the orthopedic spectrum. He has extensive knowledge in sports medicine, fracture care and injection therapy. Kevin places a high priority on patient education by empowering the patient with knowledge of their condition, treatment options and taking the time to answer any question.
Kevin graduated from Central Michigan University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science and double major in Health Fitness/Preventative Rehabilitation and Psychology. He worked for two years in Cardiology before returning to Central Michigan University to earn his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. He has worked as a certified Physician Assistant since 2006 in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine and has also worked with area high schools in providing sideline and game coverage. Kevin is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is an active member in a variety of professional organizations, staying up to date with the latest advancements in healthcare.

Joe Hanisko, PT, DPT, Cert FDN, is a physical therapist and graduate of Grand Valley State University’s doctoral program for physical therapy. Dr. Fox earned her medical degree at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, and completed her pediatrics residency at Seattle Children’s Hospital in Washington. Dr. Fox’s clinical interests include infectious diseases and global health.

Karen Kerridge, MSN, CPNP-PC, is a certified nurse practitioner. Karen earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. She earned her master’s degree in nursing from Wayne State University in Detroit. Karen is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Kyle Snell, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician. Dr. Snell earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. He completed his family medicine residency at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing and his sports medicine fellowship at Michigan State University in East Lansing. Dr. Snell’s clinical interests include sports medicine, preventive medicine and osteopathic manual medicine.

Kevin Vardon, PA-C , works closely with our Orthopedic Surgeons and Sports Medicine Physicians in providing non-operative and surgical care in treating a variety of conditions within the orthopedic spectrum. He has extensive knowledge in sports medicine, fracture care and injection therapy. Kevin places a high priority on patient education by empowering the patient with knowledge of their condition, treatment options and taking the time to answer any question.
Kevin graduated from Central Michigan University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science and double major in Health Fitness/Preventative Rehabilitation and Psychology. He worked for two years in Cardiology before returning to Central Michigan University to earn his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. He has worked as a certified Physician Assistant since 2006 in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine and has also worked with area high schools in providing sideline and game coverage. Kevin is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is an active member in a variety of professional organizations, staying up to date with the latest advancements in healthcare.
