Health Pointe on Schedule for 2018 Opening
GRAND HAVEN, Mich., December 19, 2017 — Health Pointe, the newest lakeshore medical facility, is on track to open to patients in a matter of months.
The outpatient integrated care campus will offer both primary and specialty health care services to lakeshore patients. Health Pointe, a 50/50 joint venture between Spectrum Health and Holland Hospitals, is expected to open in March 2018.
“Health Pointe will offer northern Ottawa County a great choice of experienced local providers and numerous specialists together in one convenient location,” said Joshua Troast, executive director of Health Pointe.
Health Pointe will feature primary care, urgent care, specialty care, laboratory and radiology services (CT and MRI), as well as outpatient surgery. The integrated care facility will offer access to a broad range of outpatient procedures, such as ear, nose and throat surgery, colonoscopy, gallbladder removal, hernia repair, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, orthopedic and sports medicine surgery and much more. Interested patients can find out more about the providers on the Health Pointe website, www.health-pointe.org.
“We’re very excited for Health Pointe to open and to offer the Grand Haven community additional health care choices,” said Troast. “This brand new, state-of-the-art building offers one-stop shopping without having to travel to multiple offices.”
The 100,000+ square foot building was designed by AECOM and constructed by Granger Construction. Project Manager for Granger Construction Joseph Durfee says a “great majority” of tradespeople working on Health Pointe are local and come from a 60-mile radius of the Grand Haven community. At the peak of construction, Durfee says they had about 130 tradespeople on-site per day.
